We offer the privacy and convenience of interactive, teacher-led childbirth education in realtime on the web. We help couples navigate the many choices available to them during pregnancy, childbirth and new parenting. Classes for a healthy pregnancy and birth include the physiology of birth, signs of labor, pain-coping strategies, positions, medications and technology, providing labor support, and gentle birth options to make informed choices in childbirth.
Americans have more exposure to birth-related information than ever before, mostly from the internet, books, and tv/film. Unfortunately, most of what is out there is misinformation, partial truths and/or birth used for the purposes of dramatic or comedic affect. We provide unbiased, evidence-based information so that women and their partners can make the best possible choices for a birth that is satisfying and empowering to them and gentle for their baby.

Up2Birth came about as a result of the need for this kind of real information, strategies and options for labor and birth in a convenient format. With so many of us traveling for work these days, a husband on a business trip can join the class as easily from his hotel room as a couple in their home; a mother in Texas can attend the same class as her daughter in Ohio. At Up2Birth, we use the web to bring pregnant women and their partners together into our online global classroom.
